Start Early

The main recipe for excelling in science and maths is putting in the effort and investing time from the very beginning. Here, understanding the basic concepts in lower classes is very important as it will form a good base for higher level terminologies.

Practice Problems and Engage in Practicals

Science students should make use of the laboratory more often. Conducting experiments and gaining practical experience will help students learn about certain topics and retain them for a longer period of time. When it comes to maths, it’s all about practice, practice and practice. Students can master maths mainly by solving math problems often. Besides, it should be a habit. Meanwhile, students can refer resource materials, books and math and science solutions to have a better grip on the concepts. For example, students can refer to NCERT Solutions for Class 6 Maths to get access to the solutions to their problems.

A Separate Notebook for Formulas

Since science and maths are all about formulae, experiments, and derivations, students should be familiar with these at all times. In science and maths, students should first understand the concepts fully and then can move on to memorizing the important formulas and others. Keeping a separate notebook for formulas can help students be more comfortable. It’s also about diagrams, so students need practice drawing diagrams and be familiar with the labeling.

Simplifying the Language

While formulas can be memorized, students can make a habit of writing things in their own language and not learn everything by heart.. Students should remember not to alter the meaning of sentences though. Apart from this, as science and maths are conceptual subjects, students can try to relate and understand the topics in sync with the practical world.

These were a few tips that can help students be a math and science whiz. Students are also suggested to subscribe to BYJU’S YouTube channel and learn about different science and maths topics in a more engaging and efficient way.
