Every few decades the fashion world makes a comeback and rehashes a favourite retro or pre-retro dresses for girls. Remember bell-bottoms? Puffed hair? Extended eye-liner? Well, this happens to be the year of palazzos and looks like the trend is here to stay. With all the different palazzo pants online, what’s not to love? Comfortable, stylish and extremely versatile, these are a total wardrobe win-win and are quickly becoming super loved couture wear. So, while you are piling up your shopping carts this sale season, do not forget to throw in some fashionable palazzos. Oh hold on, are you confused between the many types, what to choose and how to style them? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

Palazzo pants are supremely comfortable because of their wonderfully loose cut, which allows the legs to swirl around you as you walk and gives a graceful flare to your figure. This loose styling can be relatively conservative, rather like French-cut flared jeans which flare from the hip rather than the waist. But if you prefer, you can find palazzo pants which are very loosely styled, looking almost like a maxi dress rather than pants. As well as the standard waistline, there are also high-waisted and low rise versions, each bringing its own special flair to the palazzo pants style. Some palazzo pants, especially the closer fitting versions, have zip closures at the front or side, but the looser styles tend to have elasticated or drawstring waists. Hems are often left to move freely, but a gathered ankle gives a different ambience.

Here’s 5 palazzo styles I love!

Flared palazzos

Flared palazzos are regular palazzo pants but are extremely wide, loose and flowy. These palazzos come flaunting in many a materials. Flared palazzos are the epitome of comfortable clothing, and one can never look bad in it.

Slit palazzos

Side-slit palazzos come with regular flares or wide flares but with slits on the front side or the sides. The slits can vary from your calf and knee till the thigh. They’re great to add a little drama and suave!

Straight cut or the regular palazzo pant

If you don’t know the basic, then you probably don’t know anything. Straight cut or the regular Palazzo are those that comes with typical flare, the simplest yet the most worn given that it comes in near neutral colours. Straight cut palazzos complement everyone as it has less flare.

Trouser style palazzos

As the name suggest, trouser Palazzo has a firmer structure like that of a traditional trouser but with a little flare. While most of the palazzos normally have elastic around its waist, a trouser style palazzo has buttons instead, for a better fit. Trouser palazzos are what we may call a full package, it is comfortable, stylish and looks professional.

Pleated palazzos

Looks much like a skirt because of the pleats and wide flared, pleated palazzo doesn’t risk the comfortability factor but might enhance your look to the next level when paired with the right top and accessories. Pleated Palazzo showcases pleats in the most elegant way and comes out excellently in georgette and crepe.

Pair your palazzos with a range of stylish tank tops, halter necks, and for the avid fashionista, even shirts.  Stay fashionable in these pants that are sure to remain in vogue for a while!
