Usually, the first thing that comes to mind when attending an event at the convention center is a place to stay at night and the hotels near Rosemont Convention Center. A place where you can unwind, relax and think about all the things you’ve seen and experienced at the event. A place with impeccable service but most importantly, close to the event.
Catering to business travelers and families alike, the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago is about a 3-minute drive or a 5-minute walk to or from the Rosemont Convention Center. The hotel is also just 5-minutes from the airport and offers guests24-hour complimentary airport shuttle services. The Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare is another popular choice for event travelers. It’s not much further from the action than the Hyatt and offers guests many fine amenities.
Where to Eat
So you’ve booked your hotel, now it’s time to think about places to eat. If you want to eat at the convention center, the on-site restaurant, The Great Expoteria offers cafeteria-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner with daily specials. Craving some BBQ? Try out Bub City. Bub City is about a 5-minute drive away from your event at the convention center and is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner. It’s known for some of the best meats in the city. Looking for anover-the-top meal? You need to check out the famous Brazilian buffet, Fogo de Chão. But come prepared with an appetite.
Getting Around
If you decided not to rent a car, and wonder how to get around before, during, or after the event at the Rosemont Convention Center, don’t worry. You have a couple of convenient options for transportation. While attending the event, you get hungry and decide to try out Bub City or Fogo de Chão. How are you going to get there? If you don’t mind taking a stroll, then Bub City or Fogo de Chão is only about a 15-minute walk away. If you’re like me and sweat profusely, you can take Pace Transit’s “Rosemont Entertainment Circulator” bus (Route 811). Its route consists of 6 stops that begin at the CTA Blue Line Rosemont Station and loops back to it. Stops on the route include AMC theater, Fashion Outlets of Chicago, and the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The city is also popular with rideshare drivers, so you can use your favorite service, as well.
Other Attractions
So you got an extra day after the event, and want to spend some time exploring the area. As briefly mentioned, there is an AMC movie theater close by via route 811. There is also the Fashion Outlets of Chicago on the same bus route. If the Chicago Dogs happen to be playing, bus route 811 will also take you to Impact Field.
