Rannvijay Singh is an Indian former actor, television personality and VJ. He might be the best known for being a gang leader and a host of a youth-based reality show which airs on MTV India, called MTV Roadies, and also for his Bollywood career. Early Life

On 16th March 1983, in Jalandhar, Punjab, India, Iqbal Singh Singha and his wife Baljeet Kaur welcomed their son Rannvijay Singha into this world. His father is retired Lt. General of the Indian Army, but he is currently posted in Syria as the UN Force Commander. His mother is a housewife and a poet. Singh has a younger brother Harman Singha, who is also an actor, VJ, and popular television personality. Because of his father’s job, the family moved a lot, so Singh changed nine different schools before he graduated from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan in New Delhi. He attended Hansraj College (University of Delhi), where he graduated. After his graduation, Singh planned on joining the Indian army. Even after clearing the exams and medical tests, his plan failed and the Hero Honda Karizma R. was the reason for it. By participating in the show MTV Roadies, he was given a chance to win the motorcycle, so he decided to try his luck.

His family has been serving Indian forces for six generations, and Singh is the only exception in the family who didn’t serve the army.

Career

Singh used to work for a construction worker in New Jersey, United States.

In 2003, he participated in the first season of MTV Roadies, where he won the show. After that, Singh went to host shows like MTV Stuntmania, MTV Splistvilla, MTV Force India The Fast And The Gorgeous, MTV Scooty Pep Diva, and MTV Troll Police. Since 2014 he has been part of the MTV Roadies, first as a gang leader, and now as a host. He also appeared in judging panel for auditions from 8: Shortcut To Hell, to 16: Roadies Real Heroes.

In 2009, he made his Bollywood debut in film Toss: A Flip of Destiny. Two years later, his Punjabi movie debut was made, with movie Dharti. He starred in eleven films, including London Dreams (2009), Action Replayy (2010), Mumbai Cutting (2011), Mod (2011), Taur Mittran Di (2012), Saadi Love Story (2013), Ishq Garaari (2013), 3 A.M. A Paranormal Experience (2014), and Sharafat Gayi Tei Lene (2015).

Private Life

In 2014, Rannvijay Singh married Priyanka Vohra. The couple share a daughter named Kainaat. The girl was born on 17th January 2017.

Singh is a big fan of motorcycles. He owns several of them, including Suzuki GSX-R600, Kawasaki Ninja, Hero Honda Karizma R, and Royal Enfield. He is also a big fan of an American professional basketball team based in San Francisco, called The Golden State Warrior. Other things the former actor is fond of are comics superheroes and bikes. He is known for collecting Wolverine and Batman merchandise.
